SUMMARY:VAM 2023 Vasto Accretion Meeting
DESCRIPTION:VAM 2023\nTHE FIRST VASTO ACCRETION MEETING \nVasto – Italy\, June 19 -23\, 2023 \nEvent web site \nThe meeting will be in-person only\, bringing together experts on all types of compact interacting binaries\, covering both theory and observations. \nThe registration fee is 350 Euros. \nThis includes: \n\nregistration to the Conference\nsocial dinner\ndaily coffee breaks\n4 aperitifs\n\n  \nHOTEL INFO \nThere is a limited number of hotels situated close to the Palazzo D’Avalos (conference venue) in Vasto city centre. Alternatively\, many more lodging options are available in Vasto Marina\, which is in proximity to the beaches. It is essential to bear in mind that walking between Vasto Marina and Vasto city centre could be time-consuming since the two locations are separated by a (very!) steep hill. \nTherefore we have arranged dedicated daily shuttle buses from Vasto Marina Hotels (Hotel President and Hotel San Giorgio) to Palazzo D’Avalos in the mornings and return in the afternoons. \nWe have agreed special rates with the following hotels: Hotel San Giorgio and Hotel President in Vasto Marina\, and Hotel San Marco in Vasto City. However\, there are several options available through Booking.com\, Airbnb.com or Vrbo.com and other similar websites. \nPlease note that Vasto is a popular tourist summer destination\, and accommodation options can be limited in June when the VAM2023 will take place.
